Dove award winning artist Chris August has signed a new deal with BMG Music Publishing, according to AllAccess. August plans to continue his work in the Christian and Country genres.
“Songwriting has always been my favorite part of the music creating process,” August said in a statement to media. “After my first meeting with BMG, I knew I had found the place to really work on my craft. I’m grateful and looking forward to the opportunity to write with other songwriters I’ve followed and admired. Special thank you to ASCAP’s Kele Currier for believing in me and helping connect this relationship.”
BMG Vice President, Creative Chris Oglesby added, “I have known and loved Chris’s music for years. He is an extremely gifted writer/artist with a work ethic that is second to none. We are so glad to have him become part of our BMG family.”
