Army Sergeant Landen Knowlton scored a golden ticket to Hollywood with his rendition of a CCM favorite on a recent episode of ABC’s American Idol. Knowlton shined with his cover of NEEDTOBREATHE’s “Washed By The Water”. The track was released to radio in 2007 and was featured on the band’s The Heat album. “Washed By The Water” reached #1 on R&R’s CHR chart in the summer of 2008.
After the show aired, NEEDTOBREATHE tweeted a link to Landen’s audition along with a message that read, “Thanks for your service and good luck in Hollywood Landen.”
