CCM husband and wife duo Kari Jobe and Cody Carnes were among the group of Church leaders invited to the White House for a Faith Briefing on December 6th. Other familiar faces in attendance included Hillsong’s Global Senior Pastor Brian Houston and Bethel Music’s Sean Feucht. In addition to an informational session on the administration’s faith-based initiatives, the group prayed in the Cabinet Room and Oval Office. Vice President Mike Pence was in attendance and the group briefly met President Trump as well.
“The thing that moved me the most is how everyone is so for making sure we’re changing people’s lives and not leaving those that are marginalized and those that have been trafficked,” Jobe shared in a video posted by the White House. “I think those of us that don’t work in the White House, it can look really big and something that we can’t really end, but they are working to end these things. I’ve just been in tears all day. I’m so thankful to be part of this today and see what God’s doing in our White House.”
“I’ve been so encouraged today because there’s so many good things happening out of this house,” Carnes added. “So many good things for the faith community.”
