Newsboys frontman Michael Tait is making headlines after breaking news of a limited dc Talk tour set to launch in 2020. In a recent interview with 98.5 KTIS, Tait was asked about a possible dc Talk land-based tour after the GRAMMY-winning band recently wrapped up an appearance on the 2019 Jesus Freak Cruise.
"I’ve got news for you. We just finished the dc Talk cruise yesterday, Pete and I. TobyMac performed, dc Talk, K-Max, Newsboys. But next year dc Talk will be doing a land cruise," Tait shared with excitement. "We’ll be doing tour dates in the states, not announced yet, but it will be very few, but we’ll do them each year, ’20, ’21, and probably ’22. We’ll be around here somewhere eventually. I might be the first guy of the band to announce it. Toby and Kevin haven’t, but it’s official we’ll be doing some dates. Yes."
dc Talk disbanded in 2000 to pursue solo careers after becoming one of Christian music's most successful, celebrated and groundbreaking artists. Their discography includes 5 studio albums, 1 live album, 9 compilation albums and 3 EPs. In May 2016, the band announced they would reunite on the seas for the Jesus Freak Cruises.
