Nine-time Grammy nominee and five-time GMA Dove Awards Female Vocalist of the Year Natalie Grant debuted her new album, Christmas, recently (Oct 3) via Capitol Records CMG. Nearly 20 years after the release of her debut Christmas album Believe, she returns to the season that has always inspired her most. This time, she presents a record that reflects both her artistry and her life offstage as a wife, mother, and advocate.

Rather than simply revisiting the familiar, Christmas offers a rich tapestry of moments: the intimacy of carols sung at home, the joy of family traditions, and the grandeur of sacred songs that have carried generations. Collaborating once again with her husband, GRAMMY Award-winning composer and producer Bernie Herms, Grant uses her unmistakable voice to move seamlessly between gospel fervor, jazz-inflected swing, and tender balladry.

In this TCB exclusive, Natalie Grant talks about her love of Christmas and holiday music. She reflects on her first Christmas album released twenty years ago and her vision for this year’s release. Natalie shares the family ties to singing Christmas music and how that influenced the selections, as well as the collaborations for the two original tracks. She highlights how each sound heard is from real instruments and voices, and the integral part that her husband, Bernie Herms, played in the project. Finally, Natalie previews the upcoming Christmas tour that she and Danny Gokey will be embarking on later this month.
