Formed in 2014, community-driven music collective Housefires sparked a re-invention of how worship music was written, performed and experienced. Earlier this year (Jan 27), Housefires shared its new album How To Start A Housefire (Capitol CMG / TRIBL Records). The record marked a return from the group’s hiatus with a new generation of performers who reflect the genre’s growing diversity. How To Start A Housefire Part II is expected to drop April 21.

In this TCB Exclusive, Nate Moore and Blake Wiggins of Housefires react to the collective’s recent national TV debut. They both highlight the simple and spontaneous beginnings of the entire How To Start A Housefire project. Blake digs deeper into “If I Could Have Anything” from Part I, while Nate provides a preview of “Can’t Nobody” from Part II. Finally, both Nate and Blake share their vision and hope of playing these new songs live on a headlining tour.
