Red Street Records artist Consumed By Fire – made up of brothers Caleb, Josh, and Jordan Ward – is a musically inventive Southern pop/rock band that combines their church roots with an eclectic array of influences distilled into a sound that is uniquely their own. Growing up, when they weren’t leading worship at their parent’s church, the brothers were singing songs from James Taylor, Amy Grant, Bob Seger, Russ Raff, or The Eagles with their large musical family. It wasn’t long before the brothers found a calling and their own musical voice and shortly after, Consumed By Fire was born.
The rising CCM trio recently debuted their First Things First LP, which is available now to download/stream. The album’s title track climbed all the way to No. 2 on the Christian radio charts and marks the first Top 5 single for both the band and Red Street Records. Consumed By Fire was recently honored with nominations at the 2023 K-Love Fan Awards and the 54th Annual GMA Dove Awards. They will embark on their very first headlining tour this fall.
In this TCB exclusive, Caleb, Josh and Jordan Ward talk about continuing their “First Things First” message with their new album of the same name. Each brother reveals the track they are most excited to have released, as well as how the last song to be added to the album (“There Was A Grace”) was written. They also tease their upcoming tour with Stars Go Dim and Cliff Preston. Finally, Consumed By Fire shares what it means for them to have been nominated for their first Dove Award, and have it be for “Goodbye Old Me.”
