Writing songs with honesty and artistry – songs that tell true stories of their journeys – is the heartbeat of Zach Bolen, Brian Eichelberger, Connor Hedge, Adam Skatula, and Daniel Folgado, who collectively make up the band Citizens. The Seattle-born band’s desire has always been to craft approachable songs for people to connect to the music and each other, wherever they’re at. The group is known for their signature sound that pushes the boundaries of what “Church music” usually sounds like.
In this TCB exclusive, Zach Bolen discusses how the group created their sixth project, I Can’t Find The Edges Of You, by weaving together visual art components alongside the music creation process, specifically with “Imagination.” Zach also provides a glimpse into some of the group’s pre-released tracks (“Good Ground,” “A Thousand Shores” and “Lovelight”), and previews some of the yet-to-be-released content (“To Know You”).
