Rising Dallas-based artist Anna Golden grew up in St. Louis, MO watching her parents write songs and lead worship. After a short stint in show business, she decided to follow in her parents’ footsteps and channel her time and effort into full-time ministry. She released “Take Me There,” which reached the Top 5 of the iTunes Christian Charts, at age 19. Shortly after, she was connected with GRAMMY-winner Tasha Cobbs Leonard, who invited her to sing on her 2017 album ‘Heart. Passion. Pursuit’ and later chose Golden as the debut signing to her label TeeLee Records.
Golden’s forthcoming live album, ‘Church,’ is slated to debut out August 11. Across the record’s 11 tracks, the vocal powerhouse gives a deeply-personal, yet relatable, testimony to the healing power of community as she invites listeners to utilize both scripture and the church to ease whatever pain they may be going through.
In this TCB exclusive, Anna shares the original inspiration for this collection and the personal significance of the title, cover art, and recording location. She talks about the live recording event, and how she was blown away by the experience. Anna reveals more behind the track that is most significant to her today, as well as her targeted impact to churches and individuals who will connect with this music. Finally, Anna ends with a message of encouragement.
