Chart-topping singer/songwriter/survivor Benny DiChiara is set to appear as a guest on Atlanta Live, the flagship program of Atlanta’s 57, WATC, Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at 7:00 pm EST. To watch the show live online, visit watc.tv.

DiChiara, the frontman and primary songwriter for the chart-topping indie Christian rock band, Empowered, will share his powerful testimony of surviving a traumatic head injury. He will also discuss music from the band’s latest EP, Yahweh Nissi, including the hit single, “I’ll Meet You There (Daddy’s Song),” and the current single, “Jesus Can Heal the World,” which DiChiara co-wrote with the record’s Dove Award-nominated producer, Mikey Howard of 7eventh Time Down and Love Journey Music.

DiChiara is in the midst of a media tour of the Atlanta and Nashville areas, and he will be taping shows and recording interviews with such influential programs as the award-winning TV show Babbie’s House, the popular Business Side of Music podcast, and World Christian Broadcasting with award-winning writer Paul Ladd, as well as Atlanta Live and more.

DiChiara is striking a hot iron as he and Empowered generated powerful momentum in 2022.

The band released its highly anticipated new EP, Yahweh Nissi, on October 7, 2022, from Slingshot Records.

Then, DiChiara and Empowered joined an impressive line-up of all-star artists at the 2022 Yes Fest in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, sharing the stage with Kari Jobe, Cody Carnes, 7eventh Time Down, Riley Clemmons, Phil Joel, and Ryan Stevenson.

The band performed four cuts from the new EP at the event. A highlight of their performance was the first single, “Jesus Can Heal the World,” which DiChiara sang as a duet along with Mikey Howard.

The Yes Fest appearance was DiChiara and Empowered’s first live performance of the new EP.

Yahweh Nissi is translated as “The Lord is My Banner,” and the project serves as something of a rallying cry for a world struggling to return to normalcy in the wake of the pandemic, social upheaval, and a loss of groundedness.

The project is a no-holds-barred triumph of faith undeterred and courage unshaken, built upon what producer Mikey Howard calls the band’s “passion for music and their craft.”

“God spoke to me that He is looking for His people to not only claim Him, but to rise up with their voices to bring people back to Jesus,” says DiChiara. “I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes (Romans 1:16). This is the heart behind the title track, ‘Yahweh Nissi,’ which is a war cry for Jesus.”
