Last night, Big Film Factory held a star-studded red carpet premiere of their powerful new feature film, Beautifully Broken, at The Factory at Franklin theater in the Nashville area. During the red carpet reception, The Compassion Experience (a project of child-advocacy ministry, Compassion International) created an on-site exhibit that provided visitors with headsets and invited them on an audio-guided journey through an exhibit featuring replicas of the homes and environments of real children who have grown up under the weight of extreme poverty. Guests heard children’s true life stories, as told by professional voice actors in an immersive experience.
In addition to the cast, other celebrities spotted at the premiere included: CeCe Winans, Plumb, John Berry, Liris Crosse (Bravo’s Project Runway), Brandi Cyrus (actress and sister to Miley Cyrus), London Hibbs (cast member and winner of Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2019), NFL player Michael Oher, Diggy Moreland (ABC’s The Bachelorette), Eric Bigger (ABC’s Bachelor in Paradise), Christen Whitney (ABC’s Bachelor in Paradise), award-winning music and film producer Chuck Howard, director Eric Welch, TV host and pop culture commentator Jawn Murray, rock artist Colton Dixon, music duo Louis York, gospel artist Larry Gatlin and singer Nicole C. Following the red carpet, guests of the premiere were ushered into the screening room where they were welcomed by Executive Producer Randy Hartley, who offered some personal words of gratitude and spoke about the origin of the film, based on his life. After the screening, attendees were then treated to an after-party in the venue's gallery area, where they had the chance to mingle with cast members while enjoying music and refreshments.
Beautifully Broken explores a refugee’s escape, a prisoner’s promise, and a daughter’s painful secret that converge in this inspiring true story of hope. As three fathers fight to save their families, their lives become intertwined in an unlikely journey across the globe, where they learn the healing power of forgiveness and reconciliation.
The film features title song “Beautifully Broken,” performed by three artists each lending their voice to a unique version of the song, which incorporates all three musical stylings — Dove Award-winning pop singer Plumb, Grammy Award- winning country artist, John Berry, and Grammy Award-winning gospel artist CeCe Winans. The song is co-written by Plumb and Jenny Slate Lee.
