We Are Messengers Reach Out To Fans For Support After Fatal Tour Bus Accident

Our prayers go out to all who were impacted by a fatal motor vehicle accident involving the We Are Messengers tour bus this past weekend just south of Atlanta.

On Sunday, March 26th, police were notified around 4:15am of a car with no lights on that had stopped in the right-hand lane of I-75. A short while later, the We Are Messengers tour bus was unknowingly traveling in the darkness northbound on I-75. Upon seeing the car, the driver attempted to avoid the unlit stopped vehicle, but the two vehicles collided and then erupted in flames. The members of We Are Messengers escaped without any serious injuries, but tragically the individual in the stopped vehicle did not survive.

The bus, carrying tour equipment, is a total loss. Their tour schedule featured a busy start to April with stops in North Carolina, Massachusetts and New York in the first few days. No word yet on the extent of how their touring plans will be affected by this tragedy. However, a YouCaring page has been set up to support the band and their urgent need to replace personal equipment.

In a statement released on Facebook, the band posted: "The members of We Are Messengers pray for peace for the family of the person who died on the scene. They are also deeply grateful for the support of so many in this time." Frontman Darren Mulligan provided more in this Facebook live event below.
