The Joy FM is celebrating 30 years on the air with a commitment to make the dreams of 30 special listeners come true. This inspiring program culminated in honoring Teresa, a wife of 29 years and a mother of 7, who was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease), a debilitating disease with no cure and few available medications, about 2 years ago. This season was made even more challenging when the family recently lost their home to a sinkhole. Gathering with reps from the radio station, Teresa and her family met outside the USF Sun Dome in Tampa, Florida, where she received front row seats to a for KING & COUNTRY concert, a new living room furniture set and a surprise live performance by the Australian duo.
"The song 'Shoulders' by for KING & COUNTRY has been such a comfort to Theresa through all of this," her husband shared. "Everytime it is played on the radio, it brings tears to her eyes and mine as well, as we lift our hands to praise the Lord and Savior who carries us on his shoulders."
