Hawk Nelson's Daniel Biro To Undergo Knee Replacement

Please join us in praying for Hawk Nelson's Daniel Biro this week as he prepares to undergo another knee surgery this week. The bass guitarist is set for a knee replacement operation on March 9th. "If you guys could come along side and join Hawk Nelson, my family and friends and pray on Wednesday, March 9th, that would be amazing and greatly appreciated," Daniel shared in a video message to fans.

Daniel said that he has clung to the words of Psalm 34:19-20 over these last few years of medical difficulties. The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all; he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken. "I'm trusting through all of this that God's protecting me and He's protecting you through all the struggles you're going through," he added. Biro underwent two knee surgeries in 2014 after a tumor in his leg that was previously removed had returned.

Hawk Nelson is currently on tour with I Am They on Tenth Avenue North's "All The Earth Is Holy Ground" Tour. The tour kicked off on February 19th and runs through April 30th, stopping in 30+ cities. Tenth Avenue North's Ruben Juarez will fill in for Daniel during his absence. Biro is expected to rejoin the band in concert this summer.

Hawk Nelson's latest single, “Diamonds,” continues to make momentum on radio. “Diamonds” follows the successful “Drops In The Ocean” from their latest studio album Diamonds. “Drops In The Ocean” spent nine weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s AC indicator, a first for the band.

UPDATE: "Thanks for the prayers everyone! Surgery went better than expected. Here’s Dr. Wunder himself!" -Daniel
